Indivdually maintained resource base for people who wish to study the Buraku issue. Although ethnically Japanese, the Buraku-min are a social class composed of descendants of people with occupations classed as outcasts during the Tokugawa Period: butchers, leather workers, grave-diggers, tanners, executioners, and a few others. They were required to live in special communities (buraku).
